Secondary Department News
4th December 2009
Dear Parents/Carers,
Tyron Woolfe, Deputy Director of the NDCS, has contacted the school to let us know that the new NDCS website for children and young people has now been launched. The website can be accessed by typing in the web address below. Blanche Nevile students have helped the launch of this website, by making some excellent suggestions about what should be on it and by giving it its name! The Buzz! Well done Blanche Nevile!

By joining this exciting website, you can make new friends, play some great games and create your own avatar. You can check out what’s going on for you across the country. Meet deaf young people who’ve done some amazing things.
Welcome to Josette Simon, OBE - New Volunteer at Blanche Nevile School
Award winning actress, Josette Simon, is working as a volunteer in the school, once a week. Josette has passed her level 2 BSL and we are delighted to have her here. We are hoping that when we have our summer Shakespearean festival, Ms Simon will support us with her expertise!

The Science Museum and BSL days
On Friday 27th November, Sevinc, from the Science Museum, came to give an assembly. She told us all about the exciting activities that you can do at the Science Museum. There are BSL days too and the next one is Saturday 5th September. She did some fun experiments with some students. For more information about the museum and BSL days, visit the website:www.sciencemuseum.org.uk/
